Some of our completed studies:
STAR carried out a review of the treatment of rural issues within the Accessibility Strategies of Local Transport Authorities in the East Midlands on behalf of the East Midlands Rural Affairs Forum (EMRAF). We conducted a major review of the published documents, consulted with officers responsible for preparing the Strategies and held three seminars to discuss the themes raised with practitioners drawn from across the East Midlands. The Final Report to EMRAF contained recommendations at the national, regional and sub-regional levels to ensure that the rural voice is heard.
STAR worked with South Nottingham College to update their draft Travel Plan to incorporate likely future inter-site travel issues resulting from the new 14 – 19 curriculum. We consulted with and surveyed staff and students at a number of feeder schools surrounding the College, using the results to develop a set of appropriate and deliverable options to facilitate inter-site travel.
